Steel Days Celebration

American Fork has an awesome tradition celebrating "Steel Days" (Steel being the commodity that saved them & made them a prosperous town back in the day). Today we celebrate with carnivals, parades, community contests, pageants, fireworks and a FREE SWIM DAY (1 of our peronal favorites)! Here are a few of our favorite pics as we shared in the FUN!

climbing adventures in AF Canyon

We climbed "Hard Rock" wall the last week in June. Eric did an awesome job leading the climbs. This is only his 3rd time rock climbing ever but he's loving it and we're appreciative of his courage to take on something as skillful as "lead climbing". Especially the level of lead climbing he's doing!! 5.10s already.

Jennifer climbed up a MASSIVE tree to help him find where the next bolt was. The "tree climb" became a favorite for us all. Karina & Colton went up the tree to hang out & take pictures!

They were both impressive 14 yr old rock & tree climbers. ;)

He and Michael were scaling all sorts of other rocks too.

We're in love with Colton!! He's the coolest. He CAMPUSED (pulling himself up using only his arms!!) the 5.10 crux we were all struggling with!!

Michael and Kaleb were having fun with some balloons they found in Jennifer's backpack. She had them leftover from a Young Woman's activity. They were being super silly with 'em if you can't tell. Baby Genevieve loved her princess shade tent we constructed for her. EVERYONE took turns holding her. We can't get enough snuggles from this cute chunker!

Happy Father's Day!

Eric is the best Daddy I've ever even heard of. He listens to us, spends so much time with us, plays with the boys, snuggles his baby, loves his wife, does not lack in the FUN idea department, and knows how to grow STRONG, loving, creative, beautiful boys. We all love him so much.

We spent Father's Day with all our family including Eric's Daddy. We were sad to not be near my loving Dad but sent him lots of loves. <3

We got Eric a new TV for the fam (it was HUGE surprise!! heehee...I love when I can actually surprise him...).

The boys dressed up as Super Heroes. They all made cards for Eric and we had a "SUPER DAD" evening!! Ammon's gift was to sing a song of his choice ("I'm so glad when Daddy comes home"), Aaron's gift was his own made up recipe based on a variation of Eric's favorite dessert: Banana Pudding (Nilla Wafers, store bought vanilla pudding, slices of bananas, chocolate drizzled, & a layer of marshmallows on top!). Asher's gift was tons of snuggles & Michael gave love & hugs on other days. (Michael was SO so so sick and slept for 3 days straight through all of our fun but he sure loves his Daddy.)

They're HERE!!

We are ecstatic to announce that Russ & Jennifer's family (my brother, Eric's sister) have moved BACK from Tennessee to Utah!!!!!! It's literally a dream come true for us. We were anxiously awaiting their arrival at the end of their driveway when the moving truck drove up!!
