Christmas '10

Merry Christmas to all and a very Merry Christmas to baby Genevieve who experiences her First Christmas this year! Daddy (and Auntie Jennifer!) spoiled this baby girl just like she should be!

Even Madee had a turn with the spoiling and showering of gifts on the baby! Daddy bought her all sorts of BabyLegs and this really sweet wooden rattle that is made from one piece of wood! We have no idea how they do it. SO cool.

We had a blast at Madee and Papa Durtschi's home with all the cousins and aunts and uncles & siblings. We were SUPER lucky that Harvey came out from D.C. to spend Christmas with us! It was a total surprise to me! Eric & Harvey kept it a secret until a few days before Christmas, Eric came in the house and said, "whoa! there is a huge package Harvey delivered for you! Come outside and see it! I raced outside not knowing what to expect... and who pops out from around the corner?! Harvey!! I was SOOOOO surprised and ECSTATIC to see him!!! We missed Mom & Dad and were grateful to have all the Droke siblings together with all the Durtschi siblings. Thank you Harvey for spending Christmas with us. It meant the world to me!

Madee decorates several trees in her home different themes for each one. The kids LOVE discovering all the stories each ornament has to tell. Madee also has 50+ Nativity sets in her home. Those are my favorite part!
Along with all the festiveness, food, & family, we have LOADS of fun playing games from Werewolves to Guitar Hero, Scattergories to the Candy Game.
Every night is a late night! Love y'all!

The boys make-up all sorts of adventures outdoors and in the basement; there is NO shortage of things to do and discover at Madee & Papa's home but Lego building is on the list of top 3 things to do with this group of 10 boy cousins! When we were back at our home we built this magical snowman and really hoped he would dance around after we put the hat on his head ;p and put together our annual puzzle (age appropriate this year).
Merry Christmas everyone! We hope your days are filled with family, festiveness, and fun. We miss you and hope to see y'all soon!
