Harry Paw-tuh Nov 2010

It was my uh-mazing friend, Bethany's, birthday and she wanted to celebrate it Harry Potter style by going to opening night of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and having a fabulous dinner in the a recreated white tent beforehand. She and Libby did pretty much all of the work and had all the brilliance! I was out of this one except for a few minor touches here and there (because of how excitingly FAST Crio Bru is expanding Eric and I are working our bones off!).

Start it all with mysterious Marauder Maps invitations...

Imagine how breathtakingly mysterious and cozy this fabulous dinner inside the white tent was to walk into! The smells, sight, even sounds transported us into the world of Harry Potter. Bethany's attention to detail is extraordinary!

I LOVE how creative everyone always gets with costuming. We love to play together!
Narcissa Malfoy, Ron and Hermione (don't laugh at our make-shift costuming! we were just lucky to be there with our schedules!!), Hedwig (Genevieve made the perfect lil' owl!)

Bellatrix Lestrange, Professor Moody, Moaning Myrtle, Mrs. Figg, Tonks, and the ever mystical Professor Trelawney to name a few...

I made this 4 tiered Coconut Cake with Meringue Mushrooms (complete with chocolate underside!) and Bethany's chocolate "Hapee Birthdae" cake from Hagrid. Yummy!
We had Butterbeer, Gillyweed salad, magical swirl cookies, dried fruit... the deliciousness goes on and on but I can't remember the detail because it was a true feast for every sense!

We ended with a FABulous movie goodie bag and the movie! Going to a movie with a gang that takes the cake in costuming is really fun! Everyone wants to take pictures with you! We went back to the land of magic afterwards for delicious cake & games.
One of the best parties we've ever been to! Happy Birthday Bellatrix! I mean Beathany!
