January 2011

Here are some more everyday happenings in January.

We were at an indoor playground and I thought it was hilarious how Genevieve got this little posse following her around the whole place! They were all calling her their "baby".

Michael loves creating. I found this little giraffe to paint. He was really focused on it. He also loves making brown paper bag puppets. We get them at Library story time or at Preschool. THIS pig puppet he added chatter teeth to. It looked so comical and we couldn't help but LOL that I had to take a pic! He made his own caterpillar as well with some supplies we had lying around.

Genevieve loves playing with her brothers. She especially loves playing pirates and indians in Michael's teepee. Michael loves going to the Dinosaur Museum, jumping on the trampoline (especially the one at preschool), playing with Genevieve, loving on Moco, and crafting.

Michael gave his first talk in Primary! This is his first year in Sunbeams (his birthday is January 3rd, so he missed moving from nursery to primary by 3 days!) He is SO happy to be in primary now! His last few months of nursery he would cry and say he didn't want to go "in there" because that room was for babies and he wanted to go in the room (primary) where his friends were! W'e're all SOOOOOOOO glad he's in Primary now! His first talk was on his favorite story in the scriptures. Since we were reading about the Tree of Life that week he chose that one to give his talk on. He did an AWESOME job and told it just as we had practiced in his own words. We brought pictures and this tree with pears attached to it as the "Fruit". He started to be a little silly because his friend who went before him to read the scripture in primary acted silly and got lots of laughs, but I gently reminded him during his talk that it wasn't time to be silly. He refocused and shared what he had prepared! Wonderful Michael!

Pics of Genevieve...

Quintessential cat pic: Moco watching it snow outside. :) He is the best cat ever! Great job picking Moco Lee FatCat, Eric!
