Ecuador & Mom's visit Jan '11

Eric needed took a trip down to Ecuador to find new plantations and work with some cocoa bean sources for our company Crio Bru. My mom was sweet enough to come out & stay with me for the week that Eric was gone. We did all SORTS of things! We went to the Lego Mania Exhibit at Thanksgiving Point (I {heart} Lego creations- they are so impressive!), visited the magnificent Carl Bloch Exhibit that is temporarily here at BYU Museum of Art (a spiritual and edifying experience),

I got to talk with Eric every day via skype on FaceTime on our phones when Eric was in his hotel in the morning or night. (LOVE modern technology!) He was really hating the food in Ecuador. It is plain fish, plain chicken, and white rice. He went to an Italian restaurant to try and get a meal with some flavor in it but had no luck there either! So (tee hee hee...) we sent him this picture of all of us enjoying a delicious, hot, cheesy, full of toppings pizza! We are so mean!! ;p

Genevieve would try to hug the phone and give Eric kisses when we talked via Face Time. She missed her Daddy so much! Michael loved that he could see and talk with Eric. He loved knowing Eric was still "near" & loving him.
We continued in our week with exploring the Dinosaur Museum and spending lots of time with family! My mom had a fun filled and family filled week! Thanks for coming out and playing with us mom!!

My favorite part of the week was when (midweek) Eric sends me this beautiful arrangement of flowers and this sweet note. We sure did miss each other and wished so badly we could've gone together! This note and flowers meant so much to me. Shows Eric's true character. You are a sweetheart and so thoughtful Eric.

We were so happy to have him back by the end of the 10 days!! Missed you!

It was fun having him bring back all sorts of goodies and treats for us to look at and taste; like cocao marmalade (made out of the pulp around the cocao seeds), and these colorful cocao pods! The cocao seeds are in here covered in a sweet juicy pulp that tastes like lemonade! You can suck the pulp off (so delish)! He had all sorts of chocolate for us to try too... yum!!
